Job Summary
Plan, direct, and supervise daily store operations across various departments, serving as the primary mentor and coach for all team members. Implement strategies to improve customer service, drive sales, and maintain store appearance during prime hours while managing P&L, shrink, and staffing needs. Ensure thorough training completion, resolve conflicts, and promote succession planning with accountability for promotion decisions. Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative consistently and model exceptional service to exceed sales and customer service goals. Requires one year of management experience, high school diploma, and ability to analyze financial data for informed decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- 2-3 years of related retail experience
- One year of management experience
- Reliable and consistent attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli
- customer service and product flow experience
