Job Summary
Plan, direct, and supervise daily store operations across various departments, serving as the primary mentor and coach for all team members. Implement strategies to improve customer service, drive sales, and maintain store appearance during prime hours while ensuring product presentation meets company standards. Manage staffing, selection, and hiring to meet operational needs, promote succession planning, and document disciplinary actions. Monitor P&L, achieve sales targets, and maintain shrink levels by analyzing financial data to make informed decisions. Ensure the team is thoroughly trained, completes required certifications, and adheres to safety protocols and the Meijer Friendly Initiative.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- 2-3 years of related retail experience
- One year of management experience
- Successful completion of all required certifications
- Reliable and consistent attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Current/Past leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, fulfillment (Amazon/FedEx), or backroom inventory
- Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli
- customer service and product flow experience
