Job Summary
Conduct regular property patrols and monitor lobby activity to ensure all areas remain secure and compliant with hotel policies. Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical situations and security incidents, providing First Aid/CPR when required. Monitor security systems, verify identification, and regulate access to secured areas while investigating incidents such as theft or altercations. Complete detailed reports for all events and collaborate with Guest Services and outside agencies during shift briefings. Maintain equipment inventory and uphold confidentiality regarding guest and employee information.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Hotel, security, or related experience
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and respond quickly to incidents throughout the entire shift
- Capable of exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, 50 lbs. frequently, and 20 lbs. continuously to lift, carry, push, or pull objects
- Ability to physically deter individuals who pose a threat to guests, residents, or team members
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage courteously and professionally with guests and employees at all levels
- Excellent listening, problem‐solving, and prioritization abilities in a fast‐paced environment
- Warm, friendly, service‐driven demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
- Ability to understand and apply detailed instructions, procedures, and information from multiple sources
- Commitment to confidentiality, operational safety, and adherence to Highgate policies and grooming standards
- Reliable attendance and flexibility with scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and long shifts as required
- Willingness to participate in required meetings, trainings, and cross‐training opportunities
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to anticipate guest and operational needs
- Ability to perform additional duties as assigned by management
