Overnight Security Officer - $20+/hr

Monitor security cameras and patrol assigned premises to detect suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or safety hazards. Enforce access control policies by checking identification and issuing visitor passes. Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or security incidents, including medical emergencies or criminal activity, and report escalations to law enforcement as needed. Document incidents, breaches, and safety concerns in clear reports. Conduct foot or vehicle patrols to check entrances, parking lots, and perimeters for unlocked doors or tampered gates. Greet visitors and employees while providing directions and answering inquiries. Inspect premises for fire risks or conditions compromising safety. Handle minor disputes using de-escalation skills to maintain order. Work closely with staff, law enforcement, and emergency responders to coordinate security efforts. Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean record and reliable transportation. Obtain a Vermont Guard Card after hiring. Full-time roles offer up to 40 hours per week across multiple sites.
