Job Summary
Monitor surveillance cameras, patrol assigned areas, and investigate duress alarms to ensure guest and employee safety. Handle non-business hour deliveries, secure guest room doors, and respond promptly to accidents or thefts while documenting all actions. Comply with state regulations regarding intoxicated guests and enforce hotel policies for valuables storage and confidential reporting. Provide interdepartmental assistance and security for banquet functions as assigned. Evening and overnight hours are essential. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holiday, as required to meet the needs of the Company's business operations.
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 1-year prior experience in a similar position of dealing with the general public
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision
- Ability to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties
- Ability to ensure security all persons and property
- Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult employees and/or situations
- Ability to perform job functions to standards under pressure of tense/confrontational situations
- Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of guest and employee information
- Ability to enforce hotel's standards, policies and procedures with hotel staff
- Evening / Overnight Hours are essential to this position
