Job Summary
Conduct proper and efficient station operations during your shift while ensuring customer needs are met with a friendly, professional greeting and sincere suggestions. Communicate verbally and in writing with management regarding store changes or adverse operational items. Prepare shift reports per guidelines, validate identification for tobacco and alcohol sales, and complete new employee safety orientation. Minimize safety risks by enforcing environmental regulations, documenting accidents, and maintaining store appearance and equipment. Perform general housekeeping, lift up to 30 pounds, and tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and varying temperatures. Work a flexible schedule as needed to contribute to store profitability and growth.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed
- Read, understand, and write the English language at the eighth-grade level
- Perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level
- Ability to validate Identification prior to selling tobacco and/or alcohol
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Can lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to remain calm and respond according to policies and procedures in any form of emergencies
- Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
- Ability to work in various temperature environments
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the store
