Job Summary
Provide patient supervision in a safe, therapeutic setting while facilitating deliverable services and ensuring program policy execution. Conduct patient checks, counts, and routine facility safety searches; document urine testing and relevant patient behaviors in electronic healthcare records. Ensure patients adhere to the day-to-day program schedule and provide safe, supervised transportation to off-site appointments or activities. Maintain accurate documentation across staff logs, charts, and facility forms. Lead shift duties as assigned and attend all required training sessions and staff meetings. Adhere to Phoenix House Mission, Vision, and Values while modeling positive behavior for patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Active and valid RADT/SUDRC or RAC
- Active and valid AOD Counselor Certification
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Registered as an Alcohol and Drug (AOD) Counselor recognized by The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS)
- Certified as an Alcohol and Drug (AOD) Counselor recognized by The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS)
- Valid California Drivers' License
- Proof of automobile insurance
- Safe driving record based on Phoenix House policy
- Proficiency in MS Office systems
- Ability to utilize an electronic healthcare record
- Understanding of addiction, co-occurring models, and treatment modalities
- Understanding of patient development and family systems
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to be flexible; problem solver, self-directed; customer service-oriented, and collaborative
- Skills and ability to engage and develop a rapport with patients and families of various backgrounds
- Bilingual in Spanish
Desired Qualifications
- Six months prior experience in a related field
