Job Summary
Oversee warehouse operations by directing daily freight schedules, supervising specialists and operators, and managing shipping and receiving activities. Direct day-to-day workflows including inventory control, equipment maintenance, and safety program compliance. Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient product staging and resolve discrepancies in paperwork and invoices. Monitor inventory rotation, execute storage buy audits, and complete activity reports for management. Manage progressive disciplinary processes and handle employee inquiries to maintain a productive labor climate. Ensure all personnel follow standard operating procedures and adhere to OSHA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience
- preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills
- Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company
- Effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines
- Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons
- Ability to exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
