Job Summary
Administer medications and provide direct resident care by distributing drugs per individualized care plans, checking vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living. Monitor residents for condition changes, document all interventions and medication delivery, and ensure accurate handoffs to the next shift. Perform restorative techniques, support transfers, and maintain a safe environment while following infection prevention protocols. Work overnight shifts with extended periods of standing and walking throughout the community.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current and active state-approved medication aide/technician certification
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds independently
- Must be able to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to climb or balance
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be able to identify/interpret written information
- Must be able to follow infection prevention and control protocols
- Must be able to use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to work well with others
- Must be able to take direction from management
- Must be able to take initiative
- Must be able to engage in conflict intervention and resolution
- Must be able to participate in all staff activities aimed at fostering teamwork, unity, and morale
- Must be able to contribute as a collaborative team player
- Must be able to stay current on all training and ongoing education initiatives
- Must be able to actively pursue self-improvement

- Must be able to complete a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screening

Desired Qualifications
- Insulin certification
- CPR or BLS certification
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
