Job Summary
Overnight Production Operator responsible for hands-on tasks in a manufacturing setting (shift 6PM–6AM) such as stacking product, cutting materials, sampling, moving materials by hand, operating and forklift-certified handling, and conducting routine housekeeping. Role involves following Job Safety Analysis, wearing protective equipment, labeling products, identifying finished goods, and understanding product specifications. Requires reading tape measures, basic math, and strong communication; emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, safety, timekeeping, and learning additional roles (Level 2–4) within a pay-for-skills program. Includes participation in safety disciplines (LOTO, SOPs) and contributing to ongoing safety and efficiency improvements.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year working in a warehouse/production environment
- Ability to read a tape measure
- General math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages)
- Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Solid communication skills (written/verbal)
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of Root Cause Corrective Action Process
- Able to drive a forklift
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
