Job Summary
Overnight Pharmacy IV Technician position in Indianapolis, IN, working 10:00 pm–10:00 am with a 7 days on/7 days off schedule and a shift differential. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and Lead Pharmacy IV Technician, perform sterile IV compounding per USP797, prepare IV medications, and manage drug and supply requisitions with pharmacist guidance. Maintain inventory security, enter medication orders into the pharmacy operating system, and keep cleanroom areas compliant with SOPs and USP797. Produce and verify prescription labels, print and package prescriptions per Long Term Care standards, and maintain records for compounding, daily temperatures, and cleaning logs. Additional duties as assigned based on the assignment setting. Must hold Indiana licensure as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with working knowledge of USP797 guidelines; LTC experience and FrameworkLTC knowledge are a plus but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an Indiana licensed Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Working knowledge of USP797 guidelines for training, compounding of medications, and cleaning and monitoring cleanroom
