Job Summary
Monitor patient recovery for post-op clients, ensuring high standards of care and experience. Place and maintain intravenous, central, arterial, and urinary catheters while managing feeding tubes, chest tubes, and oxygen supplementation. Perform pre- and post-outpatient surgical tasks including blood sample collection, suture removal, and bandage placement. Collaborate with the overnight veterinarian and veterinary assistant to deliver exceptional inpatient care. Requires LVT licensure in New York State and experience with ezyVet practice management software. No on-call shifts or major holidays; Sunday coverage mandatory. Full-time staff receive unlimited CE reimbursement and travel support for conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure in New York State
- Experience with practice management software (ezyVet is our in-house system)
- Adaptability, being able to pivot effortlessly while demonstrating a positive attitude with clients and co-workers
- Expert time management skills
- Highly organized and acute attention to detail
- Sound judgment with the ability to work ethically, independently, and responsibly
- Resourceful and collaborative problem resolution skills

- Dedication to excellent service for each client and patient
- Openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
- Comfort working in close proximity with animals, including large dogs
- Sunday shift (7pm Sunday to 7am Monday)
- 12-hour (7pm-7am) overnight shifts
