Overnight/Grave Youth Specialist

Job Summary

Create a safe, inclusive space for young adults ages 18–24 by providing trauma-informed, strength-based support and monitoring their wellbeing. Assist residents in developing independent living skills such as meal preparation, hygiene, and medication management while de-escalating conflicts using program protocols. Maintain facility safety through regular walkthroughs, secure entry/exit points, and ensuring client belongings and medications are stored per policy. Document shift notes, incident reports, and updates in the case management system, and collaborate with behavioral health providers and peers to ensure continuity of care. Work the overnight shift from Thursday at 11:45 PM through Tuesday at 8:15 AM, supporting the Bridge Pointe Program's goal of empowering youth to transition into long-term housing.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS365 Power Platform
  • Must satisfactorily pass criminal history check
  • Must satisfactorily pass tuberculosis (TB) test
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid Washington State driver's license (or be able to obtain one by date of employment)
  • Must carry auto liability insurance that complies with the requirements of Friends of Youth (for those operating their own vehicle on business)
  • Must successfully complete CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens certification within 30 days of employment
  • Able to engage with diverse populations in a culturally responsive manner
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion by honoring and celebrating diverse characteristics and expressions of personal identity

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of professionals

  • Exceptional attention to details when entering client information into Electronic Medical Record
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work setting
  • Proficient skill set with Microsoft Office programs
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to access program locations, including the need to use stairs
  • Must be available for Thursday at 11:45 PM through Tuesday at 8:15 AM (overnight shift supporting Friday–Tuesday coverage)
