Job Summary
Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision. Perform preventive maintenance, visually inspect tools, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings. Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts. Troubleshoot and repair MEP systems, including pump/motor replacement, plumbing, electrical, and general housekeeping. Program TVs, assist with painting and drywall repair, and complete thorough cleanup of work areas. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance and display proficiency in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and other technical categories. Train and mentor Engineer I staff while performing Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
Required Qualifications
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
- Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- Valid Driver's License
