Job Summary
Drive NSM fleet vehicles including Sprinter Vans, Ambient Box Trucks, and Refrigerated Trucks up to 26,000 GVW to deliver bakery and other items to stores in the Oregon/SW Washington region. Execute special deliveries and pickups for small vendors, B Line, and Greenwheels programs while adhering to established routes, safety schedules, and product integrity. Perform truck cab inspections, maintain fuel levels, and complete DVIRs and temperature logs daily. Coordinate with store personnel at receiving docks, operate pallet jacks, and handle damaged or spoiled product per company policy. Assist with receiving, fulfillment, and pick-up/drop-off as needed during peak times or special events. Immediately report any accidents, injuries, or property damage. Maintain professional vendor relationships and uphold food safety/HACCP procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver License
- Minimum of 2 years professional driving experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must hold and maintain a valid Oregon or Washington State driver license
- Valid DOT medical card
- Must provide a pre-employment 5-year driving record abstract (obtainable from DML of DOL)
- 5 year abstract must be accident free
- Subject to DOT post-accident testing and other testing as required
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with ability to respond to urgent job responsibilities as they arise and flexible when priorities redirect
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy, to collaborate, negotiate and communicate effectively and professionally with cross-functional partners at all levels in the company
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment around sensitive information
- Continuously required to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance
- Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- May push and pull loads up to 100 pounds of pulling resistance
- Up to occasionally, dependent on location, required to climb stairs, step stool and /or ladders
- Must be available for evening and weekend hours per the needs of the business
