Job Summary
Provide love and comfort to ensure dogs are comfortable during their stay, while cleaning kennels and monitoring all animal well-being. Ensure a safe and healthy environment by adhering to cleaning and sanitation rules, monitoring dog health and behavior, and taking prompt action when needed. Manage intake and discharge of dogs, monitoring play, body language, and social cues in groups of up to 15 dogs at a time to adapt to the success of their stay. Perform all cleaning duties including mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing. Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45pm to 7am, with availability for weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Available to work 6:45pm-7am overnights
- A passion for dogs and animal care
- Understanding and tolerance of animal behavior
- Comfortable handling of all sizes of dogs of all breeds and occasionally cats or other types of pets
- Must have the ability to handle groups of up to 15 dogs at a time
- A cheerful and positive attitude focused on teamwork
- Ability to work in an environment where you will experience constant standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, etc. for 6+ hours
- Ability to perform all cleaning duties such as mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, etc. to keep up with our cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable
- The ability to communicate appropriately with your team
- The capability of learning new skills, taking directions, and applying it independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Availability to work Weekends & Holidays
- High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
