Overnight Crisis Specialist EMPACT

Job Summary

Conduct direct in-home, in-office, school, and community-based crisis intervention, de-escalation, and transportation services to individuals and families. Provide parenting and behavior management training while maintaining client records and coordinating referrals with healthcare providers and community organizations. Perform face-to-face or phone follow-ups and assist in quality management and utilization reviews. Work independently or as part of a two-person team in a high-paced environment, with flexibility to change shift location and work beyond scheduled hours if crisis situations or paperwork completion require it. Maintain department vehicles and perform safety checks, using a personal vehicle only if the agency van is unavailable. Attend required meetings and trainings, including evening and night hours, and receive monthly supervision from a Master's level clinical coordinator.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Associate degree and a minimum of two years full-time behavioral health work experience
  • High School Diploma/GED with four years of full-time behavioral health work experience
  • Experience collaborating with community resources
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail Oriented and strong organization skills
  • Able to be flexible with workload and availability
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in crisis situations, work independently and cooperatively, recognize personal limitations, and relate positively and with empathy to all persons regardless of age, race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive working relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community and business partners
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office
  • Must have active Fingerprint Clearance Card or be eligible to obtain one
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License, with no major infractions in the past three years
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be available for evening and night hours
  • Must be available for overtime associated with staying over shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver license and appropriate liability insurance and approval for liability coverage with EMPACT - SPC's liability insurance carrier
  • Must have a 3-year state driving record with no major infractions or excessive driving violations/tickets
  • Must be flexible in terms of shift location and to change location if requested at the beginning of the shift
  • Must be able to work beyond his/her shift with no advanced warning if the crisis situation warrants or if required paperwork is not complete at the end of the shift
  • Must attend all required meetings and trainings, even if they fall outside of the regularly scheduled shift
  • Must receive supervision each month from a Master's level clinical coordinator
  • Must be able to react in a professional manner to crisis situations regardless of the nature of the environment or circumstances
