Job Summary
Overnight Community Caregiver provides personal care and nursing-support services to tenants at Park View Village in Olivia, MN. Responsibilities include assisting with dressing, grooming, bathing, incontinence care, mobility and transfers, medication reminders or administration as delegated by an RN, monitoring health status, taking and recording vital signs, assisting with meals, and facilitating life enrichment experiences and companionship to promote tenants’ independence and well-being; work under the supervision of RN/LPN and follow client care plans, while maintaining a safe, respectful, home-like environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized nursing assistant program or completion of orientation/training program for unlicensed personnel
- Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions including medical terminology
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Experience with older adults preferred
- Background check acceptable by Department of Human Services; TB screening
