Job Summary
Monitor security cameras, make regular rounds to check entrances, exits, and building perimeters, and clear debris to maintain a safe, orderly environment. Direct and deflect traffic, de-escalate tense situations, and administer Narcan for overdoses while collaborating with law enforcement to file incident reports. Welcome clients and visitors, verify credentials, escort guests to supervisors, and maintain client and visitor logs. Complete necessary documentation in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, attend meetings, and participate in assigned training. Remain alert and stay awake during the entire overnight shift. This role supports the Male Community Reentry Program's mission to help adult males complete their sentences in the community through comprehensive substance use and mental health services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License
- Possess a valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a satisfactory background check
- Must be capable of meeting health screening and tuberculosis testing requirements
- Must be capable of meeting program and funding requirements
- Must be capable of obtaining clearance and maintaining agency vehicle insurance coverage, if applicable
- Must complete background check and live scan
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher
- Two years of job-related experience working with the criminal justice population or with the community behavioral health system
