Job Summary
Conduct overnight animal care by monitoring dogs, managing late-night potty breaks, and ensuring a safe environment while studying canine body language. Prepare daily meals for the following day following owner instructions, then maintain kennel cleanliness through mopping, vacuuming, and washing dishes. Solve problems related to dogs in care and work proactively with team members to ensure everyone is on the same page. Follow established safety protocols to protect guests and staff, communicating effectively with management and pet parents. This physically demanding role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a starting rate of $13.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- A flexible schedule
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Love for animals
- Comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds
- An ability to stand/work upright for multiple hours at a time, in all weather types
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs and remain active throughout your shift
Desired Qualifications
- Previous petcare/animal experience
- Works together well with others to make sure all duties are completed and our guests are cared for
- Able to properly, promptly, and effectively communicate with other team members, management, and pet parents
- Uses keen observation skills to make sure guests are safe and comfortable, and to report any issues as they arise
