Job Summary
As a freelance theatrical technician for the Office of the Arts, you will assist in setting up and breaking down theatrical shows and live events, while maintaining general theater equipment. Ideal candidates must possess working knowledge in live production and skills in theatrical disciplines, including carpentry, audio, and visual technology. The position involves variable hours with a pay rate between $23 to $27 per hour depending on specific roles and responsibilities, along with a requirement to have basic familiarity with industry tools and strong communication skills. The role is part-time and operates on an as-needed basis, prioritizing individuals who can commit to full projects.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a professional theatre environment
- Knowledge of ETC EOS software
- Knowledge of Yamaha digital audio consoles
- Understanding of basic theatrical rigging and counterweight line-set systems and automation
- Experience with power tools
- Maintenance, repair, and minor alterations of wardrobe items
