Job Summary

Conduct maintenance and construction on electrical distribution projects, including pole setting, wire stringing, and equipment repair. Manage supplies, coordinate crew mobilization, and enforce safety protocols while interpreting site plans and construction drawings. Operate heavy machinery such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and trenchers, or perform manual tasks like digging trenches and flagging traffic. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, often traveling long distances and responding to short-notice requests. Perform rigorous physical labor involving climbing, rigging, and lifting up to 75 pounds. Maintain company vehicles and tools, and function within a team environment to complete new construction, maintenance, or repair work on energized and de-energized lines.

Required Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Class A CDL
  • Valid driver's license
  • Total commitment to safety and compliance
  • Able/willing to travel long distances on short notice, when required
  • Able/willing to work for extended periods in various locations, when required
  • Able/willing to work Overtime, when required
  • Experience with digger derricks, bucket trucks, trenchers, and groundwork with utility crews
  • Proficient in all aspects of energized line work
  • Proficient in Pole/Tower Climbing
  • Proficient in all aspects of heavy lifting and rigging
  • Proficient at operation of Bucket Truck, Digger Derrick, Backhoe, other
  • Must be able to climb different types of structures (wood, steel, etc.) and possess the necessary tools to do so
  • Must be able to effectively lead and coach others

  • Able and willing to perform rigorous physical labor in outdoor weather conditions
  • Demonstrate a professional appearance & attitude in dealings with co-workers, customers, subcontractors and the general public
