Job Summary
Inspect and repair compression units to ensure they operate without issue, replacing specific parts as needed to maintain efficiency. Work closely with Field Supervisors and Area Managers to identify units requiring overhaul, prioritize competing repair demands, and assess the best solutions for each case. Perform consistent inspections and maintenance to proactively ensure unit health, communicate clearly with team members to work efficiently, and seamlessly work across various regions. Perform any additional, miscellaneous tasks as delegated. Overtime and extended hours may be required.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years in natural gas compression or related experience
- OEM, trade school, or comparable work experience in a related field/industry
- Strong mechanical intuition or ability
- Comprehension of OEM and miscellaneous technical manuals and literature
- Strong mechanical aptitude/mechanically inclined
- Communication and customer service skills
- Microsoft Office suite (excel, word, outlook)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Overtime, extended or non-traditional working hours
- Intermittent lifting of > 50lbs from the ground
- Must be able to stand or walk on uneven terrain
- Climb personnel stairs and ladders
- Stoop, squat and/or crawl depending on the directed task
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, weather conditions and environments on a location-by-location basis
- High noise environment (>85 dbA) will occur with ear protection
- Potential controlled, exposure to hazardous chemicals
