Job Summary
Perform assembly and disassembly of Solar sub-assemblies using standard work instructions, engineering drawings, and established shop practices. Operate precision measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment like forklifts in an overhaul environment. Report discrepancies, maintain training binders and QMS documentation, and ensure proper material routing and storage. Identify safety improvements and participate in team meetings to support continuous improvement projects. Work required hours as requested to meet production needs, including overtime and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of hands-on mechanical / turbo machinery experience
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Ability to operate shop equipment, bench tools, hand tools and inspection equipment (micrometers)
- Basic computer skills
- Willing to work overtime and weekends
- Flexibility to change shifts and job assignments to meet production requirements
- Willing to take initiative to improve quality while reducing costs and cycle times
- Must be able to communicate effectively within a cross-functional environment
- A&P License
- This position requires working onsite five days a week
- Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen
