Over-The-Road Team Truck Driver

Job Summary

Drive and operate a truck for delivery across the United States as part of a two-person team, alternating driving and rest periods to comply with DOT regulations. Load and unload tankers into storage bins using onboard pumps while completing pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting maintenance needs to management. Maintain accurate paperwork for Department of Transportation and federal agencies, develop positive relationships with customers and vendors, and ensure regulatory compliance at all locations. Work in outdoor environments with frequent overnight travel and extended time on the road, reporting directly to the Transportation Dispatcher.

Required Qualifications

  • 21+ years of age as required by DOT
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of driving experience or have completed a CDL training class
  • Must be able to acquire an ATF license to possess explosives
  • Must meet requirements of all State & Federal explosive laws
  • Must possess a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Class A – any combination over 26,001 pounds
  • Hazardous Material
  • X-Combination of Tank and Hazardous Material
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, product bulletins, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to identify products by sight
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, and sit
  • Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands to operate controls, and able to repetitively lift or carry 50Ibs
  • Must be able to sleep within the sleeper of the truck
