Job Summary
Regional OTR Drivers are over the road, moving freight between Estes Service Centers within the Estes network. Responsibilities include safely operating a tractor/trailer in compliance with FMCSA regulations, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining required records, and using in-cab technology such as electronic logs. Drivers must adhere to FMCSA safety requirements, may be required to haul hazardous materials, and ensure the security of equipment and cargo. The role may involve various schedules and may include time on the dock based on business needs. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 21 years of age, valid Class A CDL, FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, within 75 miles of the service center, HazMat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements, ability to meet FMCSA medical and road-test requirements, English literacy, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21 years of age
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment
- HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required
- Must be able to drive a tractor trailer per FMCSA requirements
- Stable employment history preferred
- Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs.
- Must pass FMCSA required medical exam
- Must pass a road test
- Ability to speak and read English
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
