Job Summary
Operate a tractor/trailer in regional over-the-road (OTR) freight service for Estes, maintaining FMCSA compliance and safety while handling hazardous materials as required. Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle and cargo security, adhering to FMCSA regulations, maintaining required records, may use in-cab technology such as electronic logs, and adapting to varying schedules and dock needs. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and the ability to drive under diverse environmental conditions, with home time on a regular schedule and opportunities for advancement. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid Class A CDL, FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration, HazMat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements, ability to lift ~70 lbs, pass medical and road tests, and English proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
- HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements (LCV may apply)
- Ability to drive tractor-trailer for FMCSA-compliant hours and routes
- Stable employment history preferred
- Physical ability to lift at least 70 lbs
- Must be able to pass FMCSA medical exam and road test
- Ability to read and speak English
- Authorized to work in the United States
