Job Summary
Operate tractor/trailer in Estes Line Haul Extraboard roles within the Estes network, adhering to FMCSA regulations and safety protocols. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain required records, and use in-cab technology. Safely transport freight between service centers, handle hazardous materials as required, and adapt to varying schedules and terrains while providing professional service to customers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21 years of age or older (FMCSA requirement)
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Must be registered with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
- HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements (LCV may apply)
- Must be able to drive a tractor trailer per FMCSA requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Able to lift about 70 lbs and perform necessary physical tasks
- Ability to meet FMCSA language requirements (read/write English)
- Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test
- Stable employment history preferred
- Must be able to operate tractor/trailer including manual transmission and safety functions
- Must be able to comply with company policies and safety rules
- Must be able to interact well with others and work independently or in a team
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and random drug/alcohol tests
