Job Summary
Line Haul Extraboard Driver position operating tractor-trailers to transport freight between Estes Service Centers. Responsible for pre-trip/post-trip inspections, compliant with FMCSA regulations, maintaining required records, and complying with safety procedures including hazardous materials handling. Must possess a valid Class A CDL, HazMat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements, pass medical exam and road test, and be able to operate manual transmission and drive in diverse terrains. Position may require different schedules and dock work based on business needs; regular attendance and safe, courteous service to customers are expected. Driver will work away from home domicile for multi-day stretches (average around 5 days) with company support and potential bonus eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
- HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements (LCV may apply)
- Must reside within 75 miles of domiciled Service Center/work assignment
- Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test
- Able to lift at least 70 lbs and perform physical tasks as described
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operational manuals
