Job Summary
Over the Road Driver responsible for safely operating a tractor/trailer to transport freight within the Estes network, adhering to FMCSA regulations, performing pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintaining records, handling hazardous materials, and adapting to varied terrains and schedules. Role requires CDL-A, HazMat/Tanker endorsements, English proficiency, and the ability to work in a team or independently with strong safety and compliance emphasis. Location: Charleston, WV; typical duties include operating equipment, compliance with safety rules, potential use of in-cab technology, and responding to maintenance needs. Home time is approximately 5 days between movements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
- Must reside within 75 miles of domicile/assignment
- HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements
- Must be able to pass FMCSA medical exam
- Must pass road test
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs or more
- English language proficiency for FMCSA rules
