Job Summary
Operate a tractor/trailer to transport freight within the Estes network as a Line Haul Extraboard Driver. Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety rules; perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain required records; potentially work different schedules and dock-based needs; may use in-cab technology and electronic logs; provide professional service to customers and the public; and be able to drive various routes and terrains while meeting physical requirements. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and efficient operation across over-the-road shipments with occasional home time between service centers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
- Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center/work assignment
- HazMat endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Doubles endorsement
- Able to meet FMCSA driving requirements (medical exam, road test)
- Able to lift approximately 70 lbs.
- Able to drive in diverse terrains and weather conditions
- Able to operate tractor/trailer safely and comply with company policies
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and procedures
- Authorized to work in the United States
