Job Summary
Operate a tractor/trailer to transport freight in the Estes network, complying with FMCSA regulations and driving safely across various terrains. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain compliance records and driving logs (potential use of electronic logs), and adhere to hazardous materials handling rules. May be required to drive on different schedules and work the dock based on business needs. Maintain professional customer service and be capable of working independently or in a team, with five days away from home on average. Possess Class A CDL, HazMat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements, pass drug screening and medical/road tests, and meet English-language requirements. Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment and be able to lift heavy loads as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21 years of age (FMCSA regulation)
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
- HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements
- Ability to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA requirements
- Must pass FMCSA medical exam
- Must pass road test
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Must be able to lift approx. 70 lbs
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Stable employment history preferred
