Job Summary
Drive a tractor/trailer for an LTL freight carrier, operating in all terrains and environments while adhering to FMCSA regulations and safety procedures. Responsibilities include pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintaining compliance records, using in-cab technology/ELD, meeting home-time expectations (5 days away), and providing professional service to customers. Must hold a valid Class A CDL with HazMat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements, pass medical and road tests, and be capable of lifting substantial weights; operate under safety and regulatory guidelines and adapt to various schedules and duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- 21 years of age or older per FMCSA
- Valid Class A CDL
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
- Residence within 75 miles of domiciled Service Center or work assignment
- HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements (LCV may apply)
- Ability to drive tractor-trailer and comply with FMCSA requirements
- English speaking and reading proficiency
- Pre-employment drug screen and background checks
- Ability to lift ~70 lbs and operate in varied environments
