Job Summary
Operate tractor/trailer to transport freight per FMCSA regulations, including hazardous materials and tanker/doubles requirements as applicable. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws, complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and document vehicle and cargo details. Utilize in-cab technology/ELD and adapt to schedules or dock work based on business needs. Meet job duties such as driving under various terrains and weather, meeting safety standards, and supporting a positive customer experience with professional conduct. Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center; be at least 21 with a valid Class A CDL, pass drug screening and medical/road tests, and comply with FMCSA regulations. Regular attendance and ability to work independently or in a team, with an average home time of about 5 days between home time.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- 21 years of age
- valid Class A CDL
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
- HazMat endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Doubles endorsement (if applicable)
- MVR acceptable
- pass FMCSA medical exam
- pass road test
- authorized to work in the United States
