Job Summary
Operate OTR tractor-trailer loads with commitment to safety policies and FMCSA pre-trip standards. Perform vehicle inspections, operate the Electronic Qualcomm Log System, and communicate with dispatch via the McLeod application. Chain up during severe weather and work independently on asphalt, concrete, and gravel surfaces. Maintain a CDL with no major FMCSA violations and an acceptable MVR within the last three years. Enjoy weekly home time, mileage-based pay with various bonuses, and paid orientation. All training is provided by AFW.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1yr. OTR tractor-trailer driving experience in the past 3 years
- No major FMCSA violations
- Acceptable MVR and PSP within the last three years
- Must be able to maintain a CDL
- Must be willing to chain up during severe weather
- Must be aware that operations occur on asphalt, concrete and gravel surfaces in a hostile environment often contaminated with material subject to embedding in tires
- Must function and interact on a routine basis with the AFW management team
- Communicate using a cellular telephone with dispatch and AFW personnel via McLeod application
- Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision
- A Pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment background check must be passed upon job offer
