Job Summary
Oversee the health and welfare of residents in the Young Adult program by conducting nightly welfare checks, screening belongings from passes and appointments, and managing clinical charts for new and inactive residents. Perform closing runs to document findings in reporting systems, obtain urine samples for toxicology testing, and execute crisis interventions for incidents, accidents, or elopements. Supervise clients in self-medication under strict supervision, facilitate the daily house schedule, and participate in individual and group supervision. File all paperwork nightly and communicate pertinent information to 24-hour on-call supervisors via the SAC communication log and incident reports.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience working with clients with substance abuse disorders
- 1 year of experience working with adolescents with co-occurring and mental health problems
Desired Qualifications
- CASAC-T; CASAC, or higher preferred
- 1 year of experience working in an OASAS funded facility a plus
- Commitment to providing quality services and outcome driven performance measures
- Excellent organizational management skills with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance clinicians, set and achieve program objectives
- Strong networking and public relations skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, populations, and cultures
- Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
