Job Summary
Oversee the health and welfare of residents in the Young Adult program by conducting nightly paperwork, performing closing runs, and screening belongings from passes, medicals, and court appointments. Perform health and welfare checks, supervise clients in self-medication, and obtain urine samples for toxicology testing as directed. Manage the daily house schedule, facilitate individual and group supervision, and handle crisis interventions including incident, accident, and elopement reports. Create and maintain clinical charts for new and inactive residents while communicating pertinent information to the 24-hour on-call supervisor. Participate in special family events throughout the year.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience working with clients with substance abuse disorders
- 1 year of experience working with adolescents with co-occurring and mental health problems
Desired Qualifications
- CASAC-T; CASAC, or higher preferred
- 1 year of experience working in an OASAS funded facility a plus
- Commitment to providing quality services and outcome driven performance measures
- Excellent organizational management skills with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance clinicians, set and achieve program objectives
- Strong networking and public relations skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, populations, and cultures
- Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
