Job Summary
Outside Software and Services Sales Representative responsible for driving cybersecurity software/services sales from Rockville, MD. Responsibilities include cold-calling and lead generation, developing and executing strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets, building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline through qualification, product demonstrations, and deal closing, creating sales collateral in collaboration with Marketing and Product, conducting client visits and presentations, delivering excellent post-sale account management, and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers. The role requires staying informed on industry trends and the competitive landscape, providing accurate forecasts and reporting, and participating in industry events. Requires collaboration with sales engineers, customer success, and technical support to ensure seamless delivery, with travel as needed and a focus on achieving quotas in a market-leading cybersecurity company.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales, with a proven track record of success in selling cybersecurity software and services
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and industry trends
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a drive to exceed sales targets and quotas
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, presentations, and industry events
