Outside Service Personnel

Responds to emergency service calls, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, to perform tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels at customer’s location, on the road, or at STTC. Delivers prompt, courteous and professional service to internal and external customers; maintains safety and cleanliness of the service area; performs mounting, dismounting, balancing, replacing, and repairing of truck tires with service vehicle or in-service shop; uses hydraulic jack, air tools, and heavy hand-held tools; completes work orders and communicates results; adheres to safety protocols. Must be flexible as job priorities change with customer needs; participates in 24-hour on-call rotation; notes and reports any equipment issues; maintains vehicle and tools; provides accurate pricing quotes as needed; ensures proper paperwork accompanies all products leaving the site; ensures customer safety around servicing areas. Qualifications include ability to read/write basic documents, basic math, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate relevant equipment and perform physically demanding tasks; strong communication and customer-service skills; safety-conscious and able to work in varying conditions.
