Job Summary
Emergency 24-hour tire service technician role performing mounting, dismounting, balancing, and repair of truck tires at customer locations or on the road; responsible for timely road calls, safe operation of service vehicle/equipment, completing service work orders with customer information, mileage, and hours, maintaining vehicle/tools, and ensuring customer safety. Requires ability to lift up to 100 pounds, operate lift gates and tire service equipment; strong focus on safety, communication, and customer satisfaction; on-call/back-up duties and readiness to travel to customer sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- 1 year or more related work experience helpful
- STTC will train
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to write routine correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of STTC
- Basic mathematical skills
- Computer skills: basic competence with computer use
