Job Summary
Conduct visual searches of guest vehicles for prohibited items prior to admittance into Rate Field parking lots. Respond to exterior radio calls, roam assigned areas for policy enforcement and crowd management, and check credentials in restricted zones. Monitor lots to keep aisles and emergency exits clear while assisting guests with ticket issues and directing complaints to supervisors. Document and report all incidents to the Parking Security Supervisor. Perform duties including standing for three-quarters of a shift, walking stairs, and working in outdoor weather conditions. Average hours do not exceed 20 per week.
Required Qualifications
- Part time / Evening and weekends availability
- Active member of the police force or retired in good standing
- High school diploma
- Ability to stand for 3 quarters (¾) of shift
- The use of hands, stooping, kneeling or reaching with hands
- Lifting up to 10 pounds
- Vision requirements: color and the ability to focus
- Ability to walk up and down several stairs
- Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
- Ability to work in high, precarious places
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
- Excellent speaking voice
- Superb customer service skills
- Knowledge of switchboards and phone systems
