Job Summary
Outside Sales Sewer and Drain role responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining client relationships from initial contact through to closing, and delivering tailored plumbing solutions (sewer, drain, epoxy lining). Responsibilities include on-site or virtual presentations, preparing proposals and quotes, coordinating with internal teams to fulfill client requirements, following up to secure future opportunities, and representing the company at industry events. Key skills include consultative sales across the full sales cycle, strong communication, relationship-building, market awareness, quote/ proposal development, and a proactive, goal-driven approach to achieving sales targets.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, particularly within the sewer, drain, and epoxy lining industries or related fields
- Strong ability to function well in a team environment and to build positive, productive relationships with colleagues and clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey the values and services of the company
- Solid understanding of sales processes, preferably with direct hands-on experience in all stages from lead generation to deal closure
- Highly goal-oriented personality, motivated by meeting and exceeding predetermined objectives
- Demonstrated initiative in tackling problems and spotting opportunities; a self-starter who approaches professional hurdles with a solution-oriented mindset
- Robust organizational and time-management skills; capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Must have a genuine interest in continuous learning and professional development to keep skills and industry knowledge up to date
