Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative responsible for transaction growth for assigned accounts and prospecting new customers. Manage the sales process from end-to-end: manage assigned accounts, negotiate all deal phases, and manage the closing process. Identify and develop potential customers, establish relationships, observe construction sites to determine material needs, prepare estimates and quotes, coordinate with yard/store/office to ensure execution of sales orders, and travel to customer job sites to drive growth in the Pacific Northwest building materials market.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ selling experience in the building materials industry (preferred with manufacturer, independent sales representative, or distributor)
- Must be able to work as a team and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of blueprint reading
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and Point of Sale Programs
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to visit customer job sites
