Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative role focusing on acquiring residential Spectrum customers through face-to-face visits to assigned leads, delivering consultative needs analyses, and presenting tailored proposals for high-speed data, mobile, landline, and video services. Responsibilities include completing sales documentation (order entry, dispositions, reporting), participating in meetings and training, achieving monthly sales targets, and monitoring competitor activity within the territory. The position requires 90% outdoor work, travel between territories, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends; a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required. The role offers a base salary with commissions, potential total compensation exceeding $100,000 annually, and eligibility for incentive-based compensation in addition to base pay.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years sales experience (preferred)
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to travel to and from assigned territories and company facilities (including inclement weather)
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, satisfactory driving record, and use of a reliable personal vehicle
- Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Knowledge of computer operating systems and consumer/enterprise devices (routers, modems, PDAs, smartphones)
