Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative in Portland, OR responsible for growing the customer base within a defined territory by calling on current and new customers, ensuring coordinated sales efforts with inside sales and branch staff, and representing the company’s millwork/building materials product lines. Emphasis on customer service, sales growth, territory management, and collaboration with vendors and sales teams. Position is commission-based with a guaranteed first-year salary, comprehensive benefits, and travel within the territory. Must have significant sales experience (6–10 years typically) and the ability to travel as needed; driver of a company vehicle and subject to drug screening.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6-10 years of sales experience, ideally in outside/territory sales and in construction/building materials industries
- Ability to travel throughout the territory
- Knowledge of millwork and distribution is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills
- Comfort with driving company vehicle and passing routine drug screening
