Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative responsible for growing revenue for a travel organization by promoting offerings to key professionals and expanding a book of business through outreach, in-person visits, social channels, and community networking. Build partnerships through negotiation and strong client relationships, manage a territory by prospecting new and existing accounts, and represent the company at local industry events, trainings, and trade shows. Requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory; ideal candidate has 3+ years in outside sales, strong presentation and communication skills, and a reliable personal vehicle with a valid license and clean driving record. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience; compensation includes base salary of $70k-$75k per year plus commission (OTE $200k+). The role is field-based, Sacramento area, California, US.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years outside sales experience
- Background in travel or tourism industry preferred but not required
- Experience marketing to consumers and building a territory
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
- Proactive, self-motivated, and professional approach
- Must have reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record
