Outside Sales Representative

Job Summary
The Commercial Sales Representative will sell lumber, building materials, and maintenance products to assigned accounts, including builders, remodelers, individuals, other businesses, and industrial establishments. Travels throughout the assigned area to call on customers at job sites or sales offices to solicit orders, builds and maintains customer relationships, and uses consultative selling to determine needs and develop solutions. Prepares pricing bids, estimates delivery dates, explains price plans and credit terms, assists with product questions, and handles order preparation and credit management. Attends trade shows and may require overnight travel; working with corporate and store management to meet service standards. Prolonged sitting/standing with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; may work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Successful completion of on-the-job training; completing levels 1 and 2 of the positional training offered
- Must have a current driver’s license and auto liability insurance
