Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative III will represent BFS to the professional market, identify and solicit new customers, and generate sales opportunities. The role involves spending the majority of time away from the office making sales calls and obtaining orders or contracts for services and products, including developing contracts for residential, multi-family, and commercial projects by gathering specifications from engineers/architects and coordinating with technical staff. The position emphasizes researching client needs, presenting features/benefits, handling complex customer requirements, and traveling to meet clients. A Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or related field with two years of sales experience (or equivalent) is required, with opportunities for training and career development within BFS's largest building materials distribution network.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or related field plus two (2) years industry sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Spends majority of daily activities away from employer's place of business making sales calls and obtaining orders or contracts for services/products.
