Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative for Fire Alarm & Security Systems in NYC metro. Responsibilities include building and managing a territory pipeline, prospecting and closing fire alarm, life safety, ARCS, access control, CCTV/IP cameras, intrusion, and monitoring/inspection service contracts across NYC and the Tri-State; develop new business with property/portfolio managers, building owners, government agencies, general contractors, and national accounts; conduct site walks and surveys; assist in estimating for retrofit/tenant TI/inspections and PM opportunities; prepare quotes and present integrated solutions aligned with NFPA, NYC Building Code, and FDNY; coordinate with Accounting, Service, and Project Operations to ensure delivery and client experience. Qualifications include a two-year degree or equivalent industry experience and 2+ years of outside/field sales in relevant systems; knowledge of NFPA/FDNY processes; ability to read blueprints and schematics; familiarity with platform tools (EST/Edwards, Notifier, Siemens, Simplex, Honeywell, Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, HID, Axis, Avigilon).
Required Qualifications
- Two-year Business (or related) degree or equivalent industry experience in life safety or electronic/physical security systems.
- 2+ years Outside/Field/Territory Sales experience selling fire alarm, life safety, ARCS, access control, video surveillance/CCTV/IP cameras, intrusion, or central station services; RMR/service-contract sales preferred.
- Working knowledge of NFPA and NYC Building Code/FDNY processes; able to read blueprints, risers, and schematics.
