Job Summary
Counsel, arrange, and sell PVC, wood, chain link, and aluminum fencing to customers while managing appointment schedules and visiting prospects. Call clients to ascertain needs, determine proper placement following HOA and municipal ordinances, measure install locations, and create client proposals. Coordinate with installation crews, managers, and the finance department for timely paperwork transfer and payment collection. Drive independently to visit sites, perform necessary layouts, and follow up as needed. Requires a clean driving record, valid license, and ability to travel; schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years prior experience in a like or similar outside sales experience role
- Must be able to continuously see
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, give & receive oral communication, bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, and discern color
- Must be able to occasionally sit, drive, type, and make fine discrimination in sound
- Must be able to regularly lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
- Must be able to occasionally lift/carry up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to do repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing & pulling on a frequent basis
- Satisfactory / Clean Driving record
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be able to travel as required for company business
- As needed work a varied schedule that could include nights, weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Preferably 2-3 years'sales experience - preferred in Fencing / Industrial but not a must have
- Computer proficiency with the ability to work in MS Office based programs to including email
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to think through problematic situations suggesting viable solutions to customers
